Because the game is short (officially 60 to 90 minutes), the collectible list is small enough to pick up in a dedicated run without much backtracking.

Beyond the dolls, the game's documents and clues are story items rather than a separate collectible checklist for the The Collector achievement. When players talk about "collecting all collectibles" in The Box of Fear, the dolls are the items that count toward the achievement.

Doll collection — what to know

Dolls are placed through the facility, usually near puzzles or in rooms you pass on the main route rather than in far-off optional corridors. A useful habit is to look for shelves, props, and bedside tables as you explore, and to pick up any doll you see before leaving a room, because you may not pass that way again depending on the route you choose at the ending split.

Are any collectibles missable?

Because the game has an ending split (two endings), a strict single playthrough can potentially leave a doll behind if you take one of the two routes without revisiting the shared areas. The safest approach for The Collector is to collect every doll you find as you go and, if you need the remaining ones afterward, use a second run down the other route or replay the short game. The game's brevity makes a clean-up run cheap.

The Collector achievement

The Collector is classified as a Very Rare achievement in The Box of Fear, earned by roughly 9 percent of players. It requires finding every collectible (all dolls) in a single session or combination of runs. It does not require finishing without hints, so you can freely use the hint system while hunting dolls. It pairs naturally with the Two Sides of the Box completion run, since seeing both endings takes you through most of the shared floor again.
